Brief characteristics of the main sweet cherry clonal rootstocks have been presented (L-2, Colt, VTs-13, LTs-52, VSL-2, GiSeLA-5), which are favourable for the use in the intensive technologies of this crop cultivation and resistant enough to the complex of harmful biotic and abiotic stresses that provides their high adaptability to unfavourable environmental factors in different zones of fruit growing. The most optimum methods have been recommended for these forms propagation. The experimental data have been given about the sweet cherry cultivars behavior on these rootstocks in a mother plantation and orchard under the conditions of Ukraine and abroad. The correct choose of high quality rootstocks for a certain horticultural region will make it possible to create intense orchards and realize maximally their potential productivity.
