Determination of the optimum growth regulator concentration and height of apical leaves pinching for the crown formation stimulation of plum (Prunus domestica L.) one-year old planting trees / Kinash G.A. // Sadivnytstvo (Horticulture). – 2017. – 72. – P. 35-44. – Refs.: 12. – in Ukrainian.

The author presents the results of studying the phytohormonal preparation arbolin concentrations for plum one year old planting trees in a nursery depending on a cultivar, height of treatment and apical leaves pinching. The highest crown formation efficiency was noted when using concentrations of 3.0-3.5%. The optimum leaves pinching height was as follows: for cvs with high growing energy and acuter divergence angles 50-60 cm, for those with low energy and wide angles 70-80 cm. The positive effect of the selected branching stimulation methods on the biological productivity was revealed as well as on the growing energy and yield of standard one year old planting trees.

Key words: plum, one year old planting tree, apical domination, phytohormones, growth regulators, arbolin, pinching.
