Control of the plum borer (Hoplocampa minuta Christ.) population and harmfulness as a part of the plum (Prunus domestica L.) organic cultivation using adhesive traps / Shevchuk I.V., Drozda V.F. // Sadivnytstvo (Horticulture). – 2016. – 71. – P. 88-96. – Refs.: 5. – in Ukrainian.

The authors elucidate the results of the research on the plum orchards protection from plum borer in the Right-Bank part of the Western Lisosteppe using white adhesive traps. The multiyear (2008-2013) seasonal flight dynamics and different types of the orchards population with imago have been analysed depending on abiotic factors. The placement of 5, 6 and 7 traps/tree, which provides the imago elimination of 206,0: 92,5 and 129,5 ex./trap respectively and technical effectiveness of 86,8: 94,7 and 96,1 respectively per season has appeared the most effective against the phytophage under the typical population of it in the plum agrophytocoenosis as compared to the high population. The proposed method enables to protect fruits reliably from the pest attacks when cultivating the investigated crop under the conditions of the organic horticulture.
