The authors present the results of estimating the biochemical composition, marketable and taste qualities the fruits of pear cultivars and elite forms bred at the Institute of Horticulture (NAAS of Ukraine) and grown in the northern part of the Ukraine’s Lisosteppe as well as select cvs with the best mentioned qualities. Among them Vyzhnytsya, Veresneve Devo, Vrodlyva, Bierre Bogmatko, Kytais’ky Likhtaryk’ and the elite form 17-103 may be used in the breeding practice as sources of concrete characteristics valuable for economy: high taste properties, flesh oiliness, mass and chemical composition of fruits etc.
