The author presents the results of studying the influence of mulching round-of-bush belts and irrigation on the black cur¬rant plants productivity. The application of mulching materials in the mentioned crop plantations proves to contribute to the yield increase by 0.9-4.2 t/ha, and the best of them by 2.4-4.2 t/ha if irrigation is not used. The highest productivity is provided by the joint use of drop irrigation and mulching.
