During the dormancy period model researches were carried out in to determine the changeable temperatures influence on the frost-resistance of three currant (Ribes L.) spesies: black currant (R. nigrum L.) red currant (R. rubrum L.) and golden currant (R. aureum L.) in the nor thern port of the Ukraine Lisosteppe. The temperature provocation has appeared to reduce the plants resistance by 2–4 times. Besides, the samples frost-resistance changed depending on the species. The red currant plants displayed the highest shoots tissues resistance both in open ground and while direct laboratory freezing at a temperature of - 30˚C, those of golden currant were somewhat less frost-resistant. The black currant bushes appeared the most susceptible to frosts.

Key words: currant, frost-resistance, deaclimation, low temperatures, specific dependence, laboratory freezing, indexed damage point.
