The author presents the results of studying the biological capability of 10 apple and 8 pear varieties of natural crown formation in one-year age. The formation of side increases in a crown is determined, above all, by biological peculiarities of cultivars. Cvs with high level of branching have been selected, that are reasonable for growing in nursery farms of this region and use for the establishment of intense orchards.
