The author presents the results of studying the effect of different mulching materials in the nursery on the moisture, soil temperature as well as on the apple planting trees growth in the second field of the nursery and their growth economic efficiency. Mulching turns out to improve the nutrient regime of soil, decreases its temperature that in turn, has a positive influence on the planting trees growth processes.
