The authors have studied the biological activity of green (Chlorella vulgaris) and blue-green (Nostoc linckia) algaes water extracts and biofertilizers BSU and determined the impact of them on germination, length and mass of some annual flower garden-ornamental plants roots and shoots. The strength and direction of the changes caused by the extracts depended on the type of algae that were used as the extract source. All the mentioned parameters were inhibited by the effect of the Nostoc linckia extract. The greatest seed germination and biomass increase were noted while of 1% Chlorella vulgaris extract and BSU were used. 1% Chlorella vulgaris extract increased the Dahlia variabilis seeds germination, root length and weight of upper parts of the plant by 1.7; 2.5 and 1.3 times respectively.
