The author presents the results of studying a group of new apple clonal rootstocks (Ì. 9, D 1071, D 3038, D 3017,DÄ 2386, D 3331, D 3189, 54-118, D 1161, D 1904) bred at the Artemivs’k Research Station of Nursery Practice of the Institute of Horticulture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine in an intense orchard under the conditions of the Donbas. The cultivars are ‘Spartan’ and ‘Ascol’da’. As for dwarf rootstocks the best ones appeared D 1071, D 3189, D 3038 and D 3017 which have ensured the essential yield rise as compared to the control (M. 9).
