
REQUIREMENTS FOR MANUSCRIPT FORMATION
The interdepartmental thematic scientific collection "Horticulture" publishes theoretical, analytical, generalizing and methodological articles on topical issues of horticultural science and related fields. The editorial board of the collection considers articles for publication provided that neither the manuscript nor any part of it, tables, figures have been previously published in print or electronic form and are not under consideration for publication in another journal.
Manuscripts must meet the requirements for scientific publications and contain the following mandatory elements:
Introduction: statement of the problem in general terms, analysis of recent research and publications in which the solution of this problem was initiated and on which the author relies, identification of previously unresolved parts of the general problem.
Research objective: contains 2-5 sentences in which the problem or hypothesis is formulated by the author(s) and for what purpose.
Object and methods of the study: Includes a detailed description of the object, scope, term, and research methods. This section should contain maximum information - this is necessary for the subsequent possible reproduction of the results by other scientists, comparison of the results of similar studies, and possible inclusion of the article's data in a meta-analysis. Compliance with ethical principles when conducting the study is indicated.
Research results and their discussion: they should be presented in a logical sequence without literary references. The data are presented clearly, in the form of short descriptions with graphs, tables, and figures. New and important aspects of the results of the study should be highlighted, possible mechanisms or interpretations of these data should be analyzed, and, if possible, compared with the data of other researchers. Information that has already been indicated in the "Introduction" section should not be repeated in the text of the article. Data presented in figures, graphs, and tables, which should be clear and informative, should not be duplicated in the text of the article. Up to 6 figures are allowed in the article. The discussion can include substantiated recommendations for practice and possible application of the obtained results in future studies.
Conclusions: Summarize the work done: what was obtained, what it may indicate or what it may mean, what it serves and what opportunities it opens. Reflect the prospects for using the results.
Manuscripts are submitted to the editorial board of the collection in electronic form with a volume of up to 10-12 pages in MS Word for Windows format, Times New Roman font, size – 12, spacing – 1.5, paragraph indentation – 1.25, margins: top, bottom – 20, left – 25, right – 10 mm, width alignment.
The elements of the manuscript are placed in the following sequence: DOI, UDC, title of the publication, initials and surname (capital letters, bold), academic degree, academic title or position of the authors, name and mailing address of the institution, e-mail of the authors and their ORCID, abstract and keywords in Ukrainian, text of the manuscript, list of used literature; title of the publication, initials, surname (capital letters, bold), academic degree, academic title or position of the authors, name and mailing address of the institution, e-mail of the authors and their ORCID, abstract and keywords in English and References.
Abstracts should be informative (not contain common words), meaningful (reflect the main content of the manuscript and research results), structured (according to the logic of the description of the results) with a volume of 400-500 characters in Ukrainian and at least 1800 characters in English (italics, font size – 10). The number of keywords is at least 6 (font size – 10).
Design of figures and tables:
· are given in the text of the article, without wrapping;
· references to tables and figures are also given in the text of the article (table 1, fig. 1);
· all figures must be in JPG format (with a resolution of 300 dpi);
· there should be no empty lines in the tables, they must be designed in accordance with the requirements of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine and placed in the text.
Tables should be compact with a title (without the word “table”) and a serial number (if there is more than one table), spacing – 1. The width should coincide with the borders of the main text.
Schemes, diagrams, graphs are made using the built-in MS Word or MS Excel image editor, only in black and white (filling method – dashed). Maps and photos are also submitted in black and white (shades of gray). Only digital and letter designations are allowed directly on them. Explanatory texts are placed under the figures.
Formulas are submitted in MS Equation format.
The list of used literature is drawn up in accordance with DSTU 8302:2015, only in the order of citing references in the text. It is advisable to cite sources published within the last 10 years, of which at least 30% - within the last 5 years. References to one's own works should be avoided (no more than 25%). Links to Internet sources should be publicly available. For active inclusion of articles of a scientific professional publication in the circulation of scientific information and correct indexing of publications by scientometric systems, it is necessary to indicate their DOI after citing the source used. Font size - 10. In references to copyright certificates and patents, their class and full date of publication are indicated. References to used literary sources are indicated in the text with numbers and in square brackets.
In English-language files, the list of references should be submitted in Latin (the preferred style of the APA) Guides to bibliographic references – Grafiati in accordance with the requirements of world abstract databases. Transliteration of the Ukrainian alphabet into Latin is required in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 55 of 27.01.2010 on transliteration. After the transliterated title of the publication/article, the title in English, taken from the original, should be given in square brackets.
All little-known abbreviations, with the exception of generally accepted abbreviations, are deciphered when they are first mentioned in the text (or title). Latin names (font - italics) of fruit, berry, etc. crops, as well as pests and diseases are also submitted.
Manuscripts that meet the requirements of the collection are published after passing professional internal and external peer review, as well as literary editing. Those that do not meet the requirements will not be considered by the editorial board and will not be returned to the authors.
The editorial board reserves the right to edit and shorten (while preserving the main conclusions and the author's style).

Responsibility for the accuracy of facts, quotes, proper names, names of geographical, enterprises, organizations, institutions and other information lies with the authors of the manuscripts. The opinions expressed in the published articles may not coincide with the point of view of the editorial board and do not impose any obligations on it.
Prohibition of the use of scientific works of the occupying country. It is prohibited to cite in the text and include in the bibliographic lists those sources that are published in Russian in any country, as well as sources in other languages, if they are published on the territory of Russia and Belarus.
