Regulations on the withdrawal of publications
The collection "Horticulture" adheres to the principles of COPE and takes measures to ensure academic integrity, avoiding cases of plagiarism, duplication, falsification of data or other forms of scientific violations.
Ethical violations
The editorial board does not accept:
· re-submission of materials already published or simultaneously submitted to other publications;
· manipulation of citations aimed at artificially increasing the citation index;
· falsification or fabrication of data, including image manipulation;
· hidden use of AI, falsification of authorship or use of personal data of other persons;
· participation in activities related to "paper mills".
All such cases are considered in accordance with the recommendations of COPE, with the possible application of sanctions, refusal to publish or retraction of the article.
Corrections, erratums and corrigendums
If an inaccuracy or technical error is found in the published material, the editorial board may publish:
· Correction – in the case of a significant error that does not affect the reliability of the results;
· Erratum – if the error was made by the editorial board during the preparation of the material;
· Corrigendum – if the error was made by the author.
Corrections can be initiated by authors, readers or the editorial board. After verification and approval, a separate document marked “Correction” is published, linked to the original article.
Retraction of the article
A retraction is used if:
· the results turned out to be unreliable or falsified;
· the article is plagiarized or duplicates previously published work;
· unethical research or violation of the review process is confirmed;
· fraudulent or forced authorship is detected.
After the editorial board decides to retract:
· a “Retract” tag is added to the PDF file;
· the article remains publicly available with a clear label.
Complete deletion is only possible in exceptional cases – for example, in case of violation of the law, copyright or security issues.
Expression of Concern
If there are suspicions about the reliability of the data, but the evidence for retraction is insufficient, the editorial board may publish an “Expression of Concern” with its own DOI. It remains available until the investigation is completed.
Review procedure
· The investigation is initiated by the editorial board or at the request of the author or a third party.
· The authors are notified and have the right to provide explanations.
· The final decision is made by the editor-in-chief or his deputy.
· All decisions (regarding correction, retraction or expression of concern) are made as quickly as possible to preserve scientific integrity.
Voluntary Manuscript Withdrawal
Authors may withdraw a manuscript prior to publication by submitting a formal letter of explanation signed by all co-authors. In such a case, the work will be removed from the collection databases, but the copyright remains with the authors.
