A few new sweet cherry cultivars – Koralova, Zoryana, Shchedrist’, Biryuza, Temp, Nayada – have been created as a result of the multi-year breeding work. Those cvs distinguish themselves for valuable economic and biological characteristics, such as high yield, early ripening, large-fruitedness, comprensive resistance to brown rot and Coccomyces hiemalis Higg., resistance of the generative buds to low winter temperatures and spring frosts as well as cracking of fruits, raised content of biologically valuable substances in them, rapid yield increase and limited tree growth. They have been recommended for the cultivation in farm and domestic orchards of the Ukraine’s Lisosteppe. The author has presented the pomological characteristics of these cultivars in the conditions of the Right-Bank Western part of the mentioned zone.
