The authors have carried out the comparative appreciation of the strawberry average-late Ukrainian and best foreign cultivars and elite forms in the Northern part of the Lisosteppe in 2006-2009, too wet 2014, droughty 2015 and unfavourable season of 2016. The best cvs (Ukrainian ones Present, Prysvyata and Record and Italian one Asia) have been selected according to the complex of characteristics. The high-productive universal cultivar Zenga Zengana is not recommended for production because of the severe affection by gray mould and small-fruitedness. In connection with the cardinal climate changes the high-profitable strawberry cultivation even in the conditions of the mentioned above subzone of the Lisosteppe is possible only in the controlled conditions – under high tunnels, hothouses and under steady irrigation. This is the all-european tendency already.
