The paper presents the history of the сrimean nursery practice formation and the results of generalizing the multiyear activity of the nursery experts of the Crimean Research Station of Horticulture taking into consideration the experience in studying rootstocks, cultivar - rootstocks combinations and ways of growing competitive crowned planting stock. The authors grounded the necessity of transferring the horticulture of the republic on the virus-free basis.
